Overview Quality today is no longer a luxury or a competitive advantage reserved for the elite few but has become an absolute necessity. The journey to quality is like a marathon with no finishing line. Organizations must strive to make significant strides in product and service quality and operational efficiency to stay ahead of the competition. Confronted with such a continuous challenge, it is natural for organizations to want to attract high quality people who are committed to personal excellence to help them achieve their objectives. TEHQI complements the famed “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” by Sthephen R. Covey. It provides the framework for placing personal excellence and commitment to quality at the core. It paves and smoothens the way for personal change. This session encapsulates many principles and thoughts on quality and will be a source of wise, practical guide for the individual. The session is meaningful and beneficial for enhancing one’s quality of life, or for understanding what it takes to elevate his or her personal value to business organizations he or she is associated with. Quality people make Quality organizations. Building a Quality organization means nurturing and culturing QUALITY PEOPLE. Content/Objectives 1. Non-Members (RM45) Facilitator Zainol Abdul Rani MMIM, MIM-CPT, MIM-PNS CPFM holds an MBA in Total Quality Management (TQM) from Newport University, USA as well as a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, USA. He started working in 1989 at Gillette Malaysia in Shah Alam, progressively held positions in the manufacturing department but largely as the Quality Manager until he left in December 1994. At Gillette, he instrumentally initiated and led product and process improvement activities. During the implementation of TQM in 1991, he anchored improvement and training programmes hands-on in the capacity of a Quality Work Group (QWG) facilitator, trained and certified by Philip B. Crosby Associates, USA. A Certified Trainer by the American Management Association (AMA), Zainol's career as a trainer is into its 18`h year. He is a registered professional of SMIDEC Expert Advisory Panel (SEAP) and MARA Panel of Business/Training in Quality. His passions are in TQM, industrial psychology, counselling, motivation and organizational development. Enjoying travelling, reading, and meeting new people, he gives depths to the old adage of "life-long learning" by now part-timely pursuing a doctorate in business administration (DBA) at UUM City Campus, due for completion end-2008. marketing and business development. The Group is known for setting pioneering creative and innovative standards in industry and has interests in advertising, media, marketing, publishing, education, retail merchandising and events management. |
