Special Privileges

• This is an MIM Membership Card. In this collaboration with MPH Bookstores, the card holder receives special privilleges at MPH Bookstores in Malaysia and mphonline.com. The Card is only issued to MIM Individual and Group Members.
• The Card is a privilege card. It is not a credit card, charge card or discount card. It is non-transferable.

Validity and Renewal/ Replacement of Card

• The Card is valid from January 1, 2007 upon the renewal of MIM membership for year 2007.
• Renewal of the Card for the following year is subject to receipt of the 2008 MIM membership subscription. Renewal fee is not eligible for point accumulation at MPH.
• A fee of RM10 is chargeable for any replacement of lost or damaged cards. This fee is not eligible for accumulation of points at MPH.

Usage of Card at MPH Bookstores

• Point Accumulation is only available for purchases made with MPH Bookstores and mphonline.com.
• The Card must be presented to the MPH cashier BEFORE each purchase for point accumulation. CARDS PRESENTED AFTER THE TRANSACTION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
• There shall be no accumulation of points for backdated receipts, special savings, offers, bulk purchases, concessionaire counters, and sales unless otherwise stated. The card is also not valid for MPH Readers' Circle, MPH Kids Club and MPH Executive Privilege card benefits and privileges.
• There shall also be no accumulation of points for purchases of MPH Gift Vouchers. However, points will be awarded upon redemption of these vouchers.
• Points will not be accumulated for dining at MPH Book Cafe, or when members utilise the Internet services provided at MPH Bookstores. Points will also not be accumulated for purchase of event/seminar/workshop tickets.

Rebate

• For every RM1 spent in MPH Bookstores and mphonline.com, members will be awarded 1 Knowledge Point.
• There are two point accumulation periods in a year - January to June and July to December.
• At least 300 points must be accumulated in each of these periods to qualify for the rebate.
• A 5% rebate will be awarded to members who spend RM300 to RM999.99 and a 10% rebate will be awarded to those who spend RM1,000 or more in each period at MPH Bookstores.
• Qualifying periods are independent of each other and points from one qualifying period cannot be carried forward into the next period. FOR EVERY NEW PERIOD, POINT ACCUMULATION WILL BEGIN FROM NIL.
• Members are advised to keep all receipts for at least 6 months of each qualifying period in the event of discrepancies in the accumulated points.
• Rebate voucher is not valid for use at mphonline.com.
• For Group Members, only the Company is eligible to quality for rebate. Points accumulated by the cards issued under the Company will be combined and the rebate voucher will be issued to the Company.

Redemption

• Rebate vouchers are to be redeemed within 6 months from the printed date. Any redemption after the expiry date will not be accepted.
• To use the rebate voucher, kindly produce your identification card and your VALID membership card to MPH Bookstores cashier before payment.
• Rebate vouchers are null and void upon expiration or cancellation of your membership with MIM.
• Rebate vouchers are NOT redeemable for cash. Please allow at least 4 weeks for processing of rebate vouchers.
• Replacement of misplaced/lost rebate vouchers will only be issued in the following rebate period.
• MIM and MPH Bookstores will not be responsible for any unclaimed rebates for previous periods. Any discrepancies of points and failure to receive rebate vouchers must be settled within 6 months from the stated period.

Others

• MIM and MPH Bookstores reserved the right to amend these terms and conditions as deemed fit at their absolute discretion and without prior notice.
